(we pick up here in the middle of a email conversation between Tater and Whittler...
...but, as i wuz sayin there Tater it don't mean much to me what them other guys is a doin...I jes keep carvin my little original shaddy baits so's I can keep them pros happy thats dependin on me fer their gas money. I had me some feller the other day a'sayin, "Ole Whittler buddy kin you paint me up one a them special colors like what that Kevin Van Damn is always talkin about?"

An I tole him, "First of all you has to figger out what dang color that is, cause ever time I see one a them baits that's sposed to be that there "slimy shad" color it is a differnt dang color! First it wuz that blue on top, then it wuz blue-gray on top, and now it looks kinda dark gray and purple on top. And ever body keeps askin fer them exact same colors what ain't never the same! Well, that'd drive a crazy man to drink, so's I just decided that I'd keep on paintin my own fish catchin shaddybait colors same as I always has, an they keep catchin fish same as they always has, which is right regular enough for my testin bud L. Ardie an me, cause if these poor ole beat-up bass what's here in our favorite Kentucky'll eat on 'em, well they'll catch fish anywheres else if'n they got basses there dangit!"
Sorry I got kinda excited there, I put my special clearcoat on a couple of bass killers I'm finishin, an I feel better now!
